If you have a clinical condition and would like to meet others with the same condition then please do contact the surgery and we will try to link you in with our buddy service.

Groups that we have initiated ourselves or we have made links with are as follows:

Age UK Surrey

Ashford Compassionate Neighbours

Lymphoedema



Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (classical EDS)

Classical EDS symptoms are as follows:


  • Fragile skin which can split easily with minimal trauma. Stretchy skin, often very stretchy!



  • Joint hypermobility, which may cause the joints to slip out of position resulting in dislocations or subluxations, and may be associated with chronic joint pain.



  • Easy bruising, fragile and extensible tissues can also result in hernias, prolapse and cervical insufficiency.

Fibromyalgia Friendship Group Staines


This is a very friendly local support group that meet regularly to share experiences and to help each other especially to help those that feel alone and isolated by their condition . The group meets at St Pauls Church Hall, Thorpe Rd/St Pauls Rd Staines TW18 3HJ on the second Tuesday of each month between 10.30 and 12.30.

Autoimmune conditions


These often rare conditions can be isolating- please discuss with Dr Gill McFarlane who will endeavour to link you with other patients who are in a similar situation to yourself.

Multiple Sclerosis Group


The Friday Club meet every Friday at St Davids Church Hall, Stanwell. They also produce a useful newsletter and social events. Please contact Christine on 07848916297

Prostate Surgery


Men's Prostate Support Group meets on the first Thursday of every month at Studholme: for all men who are worried about symptoms of an enlarged prostate (such as frequent nightly toilet visits), men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and are unclear about the various treatments, or who have had prostate surgery and would find it helpful to discuss the recovery and after-effects with other post-op patients. We meet in complete confidence and discuss the subject with doctors and other specialist health professionals.

Traumatic Cardiac Event


If you have experienced a traumatic Cardiac event and would like to link in with other patients that have experienced similar trauma please contact our Reception Managers who will take your details.  We will endeavour to link you up with other patients.

NHS Free Online Talking Therapy


Run by IESO Online Talking Therapy is provided on behalf of the NHS. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is delivered online. in real time over the internet using written (typed) conversations. You meet with an accredited therapist in a secure online therapy room at a scheduled time and location that is convenient to you. Appointments are either 30 or 60 minutes long and you can attend them from anywhere you can connect to the internet. Improving Cancer Care Action Group


Patient led group working with ASPH in giving input into improving the cancer services throughout the Trust. The group meets regularly on the 2nd Wednesday of every month to discuss issues which affect patients, carers or their families.
